Raise Your Vibration by Choosing Love > Fear

Love and fear are two dominant, primal states of being. The practice of choosing love over fear is a powerful and transformative approach to life. It involves consciously making decisions, cultivating attitudes, and responding to situations from a place of love rather than succumbing to fear.

The practice of choosing love over fear is a conscious and ongoing effort to shift your mindset and responses toward love, compassion, and positivity. It's a journey of personal growth and transformation that can lead to more fulfilling relationships, increased well-being, and a deeper sense of purpose. This practice has been a key part of my life and helps me feel centered, grounded, and peaceful.

Here are key aspects of this practice:

Awareness and Mindfulness:

Recognizing Fearful Thoughts:

The first step is to become aware of fear-based thoughts and emotions. Mindfulness helps in identifying moments when fear is influencing your mindset and choices.


Conscious Decision-Making

Choosing Love:

Instead of allowing fear to dictate your actions, make a conscious choice to respond with love. This involves reframing situations, decisions, and interactions through the lens of love and compassion.


Cultivating Empathy:

Understanding Others:

Choosing love involves developing empathy and seeking to understand others rather than reacting with judgment or defensiveness. It's about recognizing the shared human experience.


Compassion for Yourself:


The practice extends to self-compassion. Rather than being critical or fearful of your shortcomings, choose self-love and understanding. Treat yourself with the same kindness you would offer to a friend.


Building Positive Relationships:

Nurturing Connections:

Choosing love fosters positive connections with others. It involves nurturing relationships based on trust, support, and genuine care for the well-being of those around you.


Resilience in the Face of Challenges:
Fearlessness in the Face of Adversity:
When challenges arise, choosing love allows for a fearless approach. It doesn't mean avoiding difficult situations but facing them with a loving and open heart.

Focus on Solutions:
Problem-Solving from Love:
Instead of dwelling on problems and being paralyzed by fear, focus on solutions that align with love. This mindset encourages creativity, collaboration, and a positive outlook.

Gratitude and Positivity:

Cultivating Positivity:
Choosing love involves cultivating gratitude and maintaining a positive outlook. Even in challenging situations, find aspects to be thankful for and approach difficulties with optimism.

Letting Go of Control:

Trusting the Process:
Fear often stems from a need for control. Choosing love involves trusting in the natural flow of life and relinquishing the need to control every aspect. It's about surrendering to the unknown with a loving mindset.

Living Authentically:

Being True to Yourself:
The practice of choosing love encourages authenticity. It involves living in alignment with your values, expressing yourself genuinely, and allowing others to do the same without fear of judgment.


Choosing love over fear doesn't mean that all fears are instantly dissolved or magically disappear. It just means we're opening to our fears being healed and transcended into a higher vibrational state of being that is our natural state of being. When we act from the heart, our energies shift and magical things happen in life.

This path is available to everyone. Dr. David Hawkins says that each human has a unique collection of experiences and imprinting that shapes our attitudes, thoughts, feelings, situations, and relationships. So it can be said that we all perceive, experience, and interpret the world and its happenings through our level of consciousness, which is how we make meaning out of anything. Our energetic calibration is indicative of our paradigm of existence, our context for experiencing everything. It's the context that creates meaning, rather than the content itself. It's why two people can experience the same thing and interpret it completely differently.

With each progressive rise in our level of consciousness, our "frequency" or "vibration" of energy increases. It's through spiritual alignment, intention, practice, and support that we can raise our level of consciousness and raise our vibration from a low vibrational state of fear to a high vibrational state of love.

In the "Map of Consciousness" above, created by Dr. Hawkins, he measures the energy of love and describes it as "pure, the motives come from the heart, creating a safe and authentic connection." However, when the energy falls to the level of fear, the interaction becomes unsafe, we operate in fight, flight, or freeze mode, we become reactive and operate on auto-pilot mode, and respond based on scripts and patterns we've learned from past experiences.

As you move from lower energies to higher ones, your predominant emotions take on more enjoyable characteristics and your views on everything evolve. The only variable as you ascend the Map of Consciousness is the degree to which you embody love. As you increasingly respond to life more lovingly, you will harmonize with the energy of love. As love is able to more fully express itself, all views shift in harmony, and you vibrate higher daily.
