Meditation helps us turn our attention inward, listen to our body and observe our mind. Meditation is proven to have a positive effect on overall well being. Once opened to a state of heightened awareness, one may start to notice the benefits of meditation in each and every aspect of one’s life. Meditation helps us relax and notice our thoughts, which can lead to being more aware of the present moment; as opposed to wishing the past was any different or better than it was, or constantly planning, thinking, worrying or stressing about the future.
When we meditate, we have increased access to our intuition because we can actually feel or hear it. We begin to be more aware of our feelings and have an increased capacity to let the little things go. When circumstances are beyond our control, we have a greater capacity to pause and choose our response. Through meditation we develop a more compassionate, accepting nature towards ourselves and others, enabling increased overall happiness and deeper more meaningful relationships.
