Dan Petrie has been practicing mindfulness and meditation for 10+ years. He specializes in teaching others how to spend more time being present through meditation and mindfulness exercises, which provides the opportunity to get more enjoyment out of each day, while simultaneously increasing overall mental and physical well being. In 2017 Dan became a Trained Mindfulness Facilitator through UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center. In addition to his secular mindfulness training, he has studied extensively in the Vipassana and Zen traditions under world-renowned teachers including Howard Cohn of Spirit Rock Meditation Center, Charles Tenshin Fletcher Roshi, and David Jokai Blackwell Sensei of Yokoji Zen Mountain Center. Dan's studies also include long term meditation retreats at Yokoji Zen Mountain Center, Tassajara Zen Mountain Center and Spirit Rock Meditation Center. Most recently, Dan joined the board of directors of Howard Cohn’s Mission Dharma as Vice-President. He also founded Mind EQ here in San Francisco. - IG @mindeqsf
