How to Release What No Longer Serves You

"Feel the feeling, but don't become the emotion. Witness it. Allow it. Release it."

...and we're back! 

Just like that, our Pause & Reset Challenge is officially over and classes are resuming again tomorrow. We hope you feel as relaxed and rejuvenated as we do!

Since we are entering a new month, a new season and a new chance to start with a clean slate, it felt fitting that our meditation theme this month is: Release. 

During the month of June, our classes and tips will be focused on letting go of what no longer serves us. Of allowing ourselves to acknowledge the feelings, the emotions, or the activities that are causing us pain or stress...and releasing them from our lives. 

Some of our favorite ways to do this (besides meditating of course!) are:
1. Journal about it: What in your life do you need to let go of? Release? Create boundaries between? The first step is to reflect and understand what you may need to get rid of in order to move forward.

2. Breathe:  If you have negative energy inside, take a few deep breaths and choose to let it go.  Think of the breath starting in your stomach and rising up to your chest.  Breath gently through your nose and into your heart, let it out with a sigh.  Ahhh...

3. Welcome all the feelings: What you resist persists.  We experience tons of thoughts and feelings each day - the ones we resist become problematic.  So, welcome all aspects of the feelings you are struggling with. Without resistance. Without judgement. When we welcome all the feelings - they naturally dissolve on their own.
